# How does Rank Tracker,  Local Tracker & Local GeoGrid Credits work?


### Rank Tracker & Local Tracker Credits

Rank Tracker and Local Tracker share the same credit pool. Unlike other tools, the credits for Rank Tracker and Local Tracker **do not reset every month**. This is because the keywords added to these tools are regularly checked according to the check period that you have chosen. When you add a keyword in Rank Tracker or Local Tracker, the credit is deducted __only once__ and there is no additional deduction when a re-check occurs.

For example, it costs 4 credits to check 1 keyword, in 1 search engine, every 7 days.

The 4 credits are deducted only once and you will get them back if you remove the keyword from Rank Tracker. 

Similarly to Rank Tracker, it also costs 4 credits to check 1 keyword, in 1 search engine, every 7 days in Local Tracker.

Therefore, if you want to track new keywords in Rank Tracker or Local Tracker but don't have enough credits, you can either delete some keywords, edit the check period to re-check positions less often so it will use less credits, or purchase [a credits package](https://help.serped.net/en/article/what-add-on-credit-packages-are-available-for-purchase-luvbts/?bust=1688632838798).

### Local Geo-Grid Credits in Local Tracker

Local Geo-Grid is available under both Local Tracker and Instant Check.

Under Local Tracker, the credits for Local Geo-Grid are also deducted from the Rank Rank and Local Tracker credit pool. The credits are only deducted once when you add the keyword to Local Geo-Grid. 

For example, it costs 196 credits to check 1 keyword, on a 7x7 grid, every 7 days. 

There is no additional charge on re-check and you get the credits back if you remove the keyword from Local Geo-Grid.

**How many checks can I do for Local Geo-Grid on each price plan?**

If you only use the credits available for Local Geo-Grid, you will be able to perform the following number of checks on each price plan:

### Local Geo-Grid Credits in Instant Check

Instant Check credits reset at the beginning of each month. When you add a keyword to Local Geo-Grid in Instant Check, the check is only done once and credits are deducted for that one check.

For example, it costs 49 Instant Check credits to check 1 keyword, on a 7x7 grid, under a Normal Check time period.
