How to Create System Notifications & Alerts


  1. Select Notifications & Alerts, which is located under the Reporting section, in the TOOLS menu.



  1. Click on the blue + icon at the top right hand side of the page to create a new alert.


  1. Fill in the Contact Details:


  • Alert Name - Give a name to your alert (for internal purposes only).
  • Choose Company Profile - You can brand your email with your company details.
  • Send to - You can send the alert to multiple email addresses.
  • Email Subject
  • Email Body - You can use the available shortcodes in your email body.



  1. Select the projects and/or sites you want to receive notifications/alerts for.


  1. Select the notification(s) to be sent out and method of alert (Email and/or Internal Notification when you are logged in). You can set up email alerts and notifications for the following:


Task Manager


  • When a task is due


Site Manager

  • When there is an increase or decrease of your MozRank
  • When there is an increase or decrease of your Moz Domain Authority
  • When there is an increase or decrease of your Moz Page Authority
  • When there is an increase or decrease of your Majestic Trust Flow
  • When there is an increase or decrease of your Majestic Citation Flow
  • When there is an increase or decrease of your SERPed Rank


Backlinks Manager


  • When an active link is not found anymore
  • When an indexed link is not indexed anymore
  • When a dofollow link becomes nofollow


Uptime Monitor


  • When a site is down
  • When the response rate of a site increased by a certain amount


Rank Tracking

  • Send email alerts about ranking fluctuations. You can set the details for what type of fluctuations you wanted to be alerted on. For example when a keyword entered the top 10 or top 20 or top 3 rankings, when a keyword lost or gained more than 20 positions and so on.


Reports

  • When a weekly Rank Tracker report is ready
  • When a weekly YouTube Tracker report is ready
  • When a weekly Amazon Tracker report is ready


  1. Click CREATE ALERT and that's it. You will now receive email alerts and/or internal notifications for the task(s) you selected.
