How to Use The SEO Audit Tool?

What is SEO Audit?

With our SEO Audit tool, you can now run an audit for any webpage, not just your own webpage and clients' webpage, but also prospects', competitors' and so on.

Here is what the audit report looks like:

There are quite a lot of aspects that are checked and contained in the report, e.g. on-page, off-page, mobile-friendliness, speed, security and much more.

How to use the SEO Audit Tool?

SEO Audit is located in the SEO Analysis section, in the TOOLS menu.

You can generate 2 types of reports:

Standard Report: one-off reports, generated once (you can run an audit for a specific site multiple times of course). This would be useful if you want to do a quick once off report to show a prospect just before a meeting, or simply if you want to show them what their competitors are doing.
Automated Report: recurring reports, generated every week, month, or quarter (you choose the frequency you want).

To generate a report, simply click on the blue + button located at the top right and fill in the URL of the website that you want to audit and targeted keyword (optional). If you want to do a comparison between 2 webpages, e.g. your client's vs. one of their competitors, then enter in the URL of the competitor's webpage as well.

Then select whether you want to enable automation or not. If you do not enable automation, then the report generated will be a standard report. If you select enable automation, then you will need to fill in the email address that you want to send the automated report to and set the frequency for the report to be generated and emailed. Then click Generate Report. Note that it will take a few minutes for the report to be generated.

You can edit the settings of your automated report via Site Reports, in the TOOLS menu.

This will give you are list of all your automated reports. You can edit the report settings, by clicking on the three dot icon and selecting Edit.

You can view all your audit reports and their respective scores in the form of a table. The table includes several key metrics, including SEO Score, Speed Score on Desktop, Speed Score on Mobile, MozRank, Domain Authority, Page Authority and much more.

Click on the three dot icon on the right hand side of the result and you will be given the option to:

View the latest report - This will give you a full SEO Audit report on the webpage You will be able to see the checks we have carried out as well as our recommendations, including on-page checks, improved security and speed tests.

You can also specify a keyword, for more accurate on-page recommendations. If you have entered in a competitor's site, then you will get a split audit report, so you can easily compare your page against that of your competitor's.

Public Link - This will generate a link to a Web-based version of the audit report, which can then be printed or downloaded as a PDF file. You can then easily share the report with your colleagues, clients or prospects.
Remove the report.

You can click on the mini graph on the right, which will open the large-sized version, so you can track progress over time, as well as view the latest recommendations:

Note: For a Standard Report you can run an audit for a specific site multiple times but will only be able to view the latest report. The public link generated is per site and will always show the latest report. If you want to keep previous reports for a site, you will need to save a PDF copy before generating a new report for the same site. For Automated Report, the number of automated reports that you can generate will vary depending on your membership plan.
