Connecting to Google Business Profile (previously Google My Business)
When you add a site to Site Manager, you will be asked if it is a physical business registered in Google My Business (GMB). Select 'Yes', and you will have the option to connect the site to Google Business Profile (previously Google My Business).
Once you select "Connect to Google My Business", a new window will appear for you to connect to Google. To connect, please make sure that you do so with either the business owner's Google account or a Google account that has "Manager" access to that particular Google Business Profile. You can read more about adding owners and managers to Google Business Profile here.
Once you have connected to the Google Business Profile, you will be able to see all the statistics in Site Manager, under "GMB Stats".
Additionally, by connecting to Google Business Profile, you will be able to track local rankings for the business using our Local Tracker tool.
If you do not want to connect to Google Business Profile but still want to track local rankings, you can choose to "Manually Add Business Details". Note that you must enter the details exactly as they appear on Google Business Profile. This will enable you to track local rankings for that business.
Note that manually adding the business details will not give you access to the GMB stats.
