How to get reviews or feedback for your business with Review Badges?

What are Review Badges?

Review Badges are website widgets that can be embedded on your website, linking your site to social networks, directories and other platforms.

They are an effective way of getting reviews or feedback and increasing social proof for your or a client's business. For example, a hotel or restaurant could showcase their Yelp, TripAdvisor and Facebook page on a Review Badge. Website visitors will be more confident when making a reservation if they see all the positive reviews, and maybe even leave one of their own.

How to Create a Review Badge?

From the Tools menu, select Review Badges and then click on the blue + button a the top right hand side of the page and you will be directed to the Create a Badge page.

Enter the Badge Title, which is the heading that will appear at the top of your badge, for example, "Leave a Review" or " Give us Feedback".

Select Badge Width (250 px or 300 px).

Select the Badge Type:

Open Badge - The badge is fully opened and displayed to website visitors.
Closed Badge - The badge is closed and will open on click or mouse hover (depending on your selection).

Add links to your business, for example Yelp, Trip Advisor, Map Quest and so on. There are 2 ways to do this:

Load Citations from Report - You can select to load citations from any report that you have created using our Citation Scanner tool, which you can read more about here.

Add Citations Manually - Simply click on the ADD NEW CITATION button and add the directory name and link to the business listing.

Select the Citation Template you want to use as well as the color for the background, Title fonts and Citations fonts.

Add links to the business' social profiles, for example Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so on.

Add any Header or Footer text and Footer link that you want to the badge. For example, you could add a powered by link to your own website or a link to your contact us page.

Once you are happy with the design of your review badge, click on Create Badge and a badge code will be generated. You can then copy the code and paste it where you want your badge to show on your site.

That's how you can quickly create professional looking review badges for your or your client's sites.
