How to Quickly Check Your Rankings With Instant Check
What is Instant Check?
Instant Check lets you quickly check keyword positions for any website in Google, Bing, and Yahoo.
It is suitable for quick research and is not made for rank tracking over time. If you want to track keyword positions over time, we recommend that you use Rank Tracker, which you can read more about here.
How to Use Instant Check?
From the TOOLS menu, select Instant Check.
Once you click on Instant Check, you will land on the Rankings page, where you will see a list of your previous checks. Click on the blue + button at the top right hand side of the page to start a new check.
A modal will open for you to fill in the site address, keywords, search engine (Google, Yahoo or Bing) that you want to check rankings for. Select the Check Period that you want to use (Normal - takes up to 18 hours and uses 1 credit per keyword OR Instant - takes up to 5 minutes and uses 2 credit per keyword) and click ADD KEYWORDS.
The new keywords will be added to the results list and once the check is completed, you will be able to see the keywords positions for the site as well as the search volume and date last checked. You can filter results by search engine by selecting the relevant engine at the top right hand side of the results list.
Click on the 3-dot icon on the right hand side of the result and you will also have the options to:
Re-Check Keyword
View History - You will be able to see the results of previous checks (for re-checked keywords).
Analyze Keyword - This will send the keyword to Keyword Analyzer. You can read more about this tool here.
Generate Public Report URL - A modal will open where you can select the company profile you want to use, select the report period as well as search engine and type of graph you want to use in your report. You may then share the report link with your colleagues, clients or even prospects.
Export to CSV
Delete the result.
Note that when you re-run a check you already ran in the past, you will see the new result as a new row on the results page. This way you can compare results over time.
Next to the Rankings tab, you will find the Local GeoGrid tab. This tool lets you check your Google My Business local rankings in different locations and view it on a map.
